"When your intention is clear, the mechanism will appear.” – Brian Klemmer
“Intention is your deepest commitment. It is not what you want, plan on, or hope for, nor is it merely a goal. Many times, this is very different from what we (say we) want. You can want to get something done but be more committed to comfort, being right, not upsetting someone, or many other things. When you don’t have a mechanism and don’t know what to do, spend time clarifying and intensifying your intention. Average people focus on mechanism.” – Brian Klemmer
First off, I want to apologize for not having a Rebekah’s Remark on Friday. On Friday I had one intention for my day and that was to create a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend. I took the day off of work to be able to clean, cook, and prepare for the surprise of the evening. My deepest commitment for Friday was to be ready and done with my list of chores by 4:00pm and I did meet my deadline. However, in doing so I did not send out my daily email. I could have made time in my day to do both, send out my daily remark and create a spectacular party all in one, but I chose to stick with what was easier and comfortable and that was to focus on the party.
What I realize today is that not sending out my email shows I am not fully committed to my daily Rebekah’s Remarks and in turn not fully committed to all of you that are on the email blast. I see how my choice affects others, and I have made a resolve to make sure I send out my emails daily, no matter what! J
Average people focus on the mechanism, I focused on a single intention for the day… the party, but what is my life intention? Last week I said “I am living because I want to serve, love, and help people.” On one hand I was able to serve and love my boyfriend and the people who attended the party but I was so focused on that I was unable to serve, love and help those who are on my email blast. On my computer at work I have a sticky note that says, “Intention + Mechanism = Result.” I have it there to remind me of what I have to stay focused on, my intention, and then the mechanism will appear.
What is your intention for the day, what is your intention for your life? Are your choices helping you reach the result you say you are intending?
MONDAY BONUS THOUGHT
Did you know that you are perfect just the way you are? You are whole, perfect and complete just the way God created you. Nothing is lacking. God had a purpose in mind when he designed you the way he did. I am adding this bonus thought in for the day because I have thought about the amazing people who have come into my life.
Many times I think we forget to take the time to remember that we were created perfectly and that we have a purpose, even though I often look at myself and find faults. When I think about the day we were created and brought into the world, I think about birthdays, I think that they are the most special and awesome day of the year. Why you might ask? It is because it is the day God decided to bless the world with the gift of YOU! Do you ever think of your life that way? You are a gift to me and so to many other people. On your birthday you get gifts, but on the day you were born you were a gift to many people, and the gift of your life continues to give.
I want to say that all of you are a gift to me, and I want to thank you for being open to receiving these emails. Secondly, I am going to be bold and say thank you to the one who has encouraged me and has talked to many of you and given me your email…. Thank you Chip Hart for the gift of you, especially today on this your birthday where you were the first gift to many of us!!!
So today remember you life is a gift, you are perfect and complete and you have a purpose….what is that purpose and are you continually giving the gift of yourself to those around you?
Have a SUPER day!!!
