“Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.” - Brian Klemmer
When I think about dreams, I think about when I was a kid and my future in life seemed to be filled with endless possibilities. As a kid I would imagine and dream up what I wanted to be when I grew up and what I wanted in life. I remember wanting to get married, have kids, be a mom, work from home, and be of service to others. However, somewhere along the way (I am not sure when) I lost all those dreams and settled for whatever came my way.
I have recently in the past 6 months began dreaming again, began coming up with endless possibilities for my life. If you asked me 6 months ago if I was excited about life, I would have said yes, but I really was not excited I was just content… comfortable. Now if you ask me if I am excited about life, I would without a doubt say YES! Why you might ask… because I have some HUGE dreams, visions and goals that I am continually working towards. I had earlier forgot about my dreams and was just living my life on survival mode. My fire for life, for opportunities, for success, for love, and for service was lacking.
Just recently that fire has been ignited and a flame is beginning to roar. I attribute the re-ignition of this flame to getting back in touch with myself, God, and surrounding myself with other people willing to dream with me. I am also really asking myself why am I here and what am I going to do with my life? I think asking people to support me in my dreams has been key.
Last night I began working on a dream that I have had for years but never knew how to put together. When I realized that I was making steps toward my dream, a huge smile and feeling of excitement came over me from the tip of my head to my toes. I could feel my dream and my desire coming to fruition and I was very excited!!!
My challenge to everyone is to search and find your dream, even if it is only one thing you dreamed about years ago and never thought was possible… bring it back to the forefront of your mind. What can you do today to put that dream in motion? What dreams have you forgotten and left behind? Make a resolution to start moving towards your dream and do not let anyone take it away!!!
DREAM BIG
Have a SUPER day!!!
